Toilet Restaurant
The Modern Toilet Restaurant as it’s called is located in Taiwan with plans to expand into China. The goal of the toilet restaurant is to stir the senses according to manager Chen Min-kuang who says the toilet restaurant is a success. Customers are seated on acrylic toilet seats in front of bathtubs covered with glass tops and are served from mini toilet bowls.
What is eating in a toilet restaurant like? According to local students its a great idea because it lightens the mood and “makes you happy”. The smell is appetizing with gourmet dishes are being prepared with curries, pasta, fried chicken and Mongolian hot pots. Dessert is equally as interesting with shaved ice being a favorite among students and kids.
The Toilet Restaurant Menu - If you’re in the mood for a chocolate dessert Chen recommends diarrhea with dried droppings. Should you prefer a little strawberry dish you’ll be looking to order some bloody poop and for a twist of kiwi make sure to ask for some green dysentery on the side. The names of dishes are kept in theme which might make it hard for a youngster to order, no five year old is going to ask for a dish of poo on his very first visit. Fun!
Expansion plans include China, Taipei, Shenzhen and Malaysia.
